FleishmanHillard Café, in partnership with other PR agencies, is providing financial and professional support for a literary initiative. The project, led by Élet és Irodalom, shines a spotlight on literary translators, whose contributions often go unnoticed despite their vital role in bringing the world’s literature to local audiences. Through their work, they bridge cultures and make global literary treasures accessible to readers. By supporting this initiative, we aim to honor and elevate the work of translators, ensuring they receive the recognition they deserve for shaping how we experience international literature.

In the Book Interpreters (Könyvtolmácsok) series, the editors of Élet és Irodalom engage in conversations with renowned literary translators at Írók Boltja, shedding light on their invaluable contributions to literature. We are proud to collaborate on this project with FERLING and Noguchi agencies. As communication professionals, our work relies on engaging, thoughtful audiences, and we share a deep appreciation for high-quality Hungarian prose and the love of reading. The first event in February featured Lídia Nádori, a distinguished translator and president of the Hungarian Literary Translators’ Association, as the guest speaker.
